GIVING TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 29, 2022 is a perfect time for a very special project!!  

Dominican Starfish has helped many families with homes.  Patrick, Vana, and their family will be home #200 in less than 10 years. 

They have patiently been waiting and praying for our help for 8 years--the longest wait of anyone!!  The problem is they didn't own land.  It is hard to find and expensive.  Recently the members of their congregation (many who are very poor themselves) raised the funds to buy a small piece of land for the family to have a home.  

They currently pay rent in a very run-down apartment building.  This is their kitchen.

The family has three children and shares one bedroom.  They is little Keysy.  

There are many ways to help!  Dominican Starfish Foundation has invited people all over Canada the USA and beyond to join us for Giving Tuesday to help this family.  

Here's how you can help.  When lots of people join together miracles can happen!!  Any amount you can give will change lives!!  

1. $10            bag of cement  (600 bags needed)

2.  $25           25 cinderblocks  (1400 needed)

3.  $35           1 Meter of Sand (50 needed)

4.  $65           100 lbs. of Rebar (24 units of 100 lbs. needed)

5.  $70            Windows (9 needed)

6.  $150          Doors (2 needed)

7.  $300          Paint

8.  $475          Kitchen counters and front porch

9.  $525          Plumbing (including toilet, shower, kitchen sink

10.  $750          Floor (made from cement and colored)

11. $850          Electricity

12. $1200      Roof of the home with wooden rafters  and tin plates

Choose the amount you can give and stretch if you can!!  Every dollar makes a difference!!  

This family will now become a special part of your life.  We will put weekly updates on the site once the funding is done and the home is being built.  After it is complete all the donors will receive a personal message with the before and after photos.  

You could even have the opportunity to bring your family to the Dominican Republic to serve and to meet this special family.
