My name is Anja Claudia Pentrop and I am an artist from Germany who works with fellow artists who are incarcerated for a very long term, for life or are sentenced to death within the USA.

We do work collaborative on different types of art projects.

My name is Anja Claudia Pentrop and I am an artist from Germany. I have studied visual art and art in space at the Academy of Fine Arts in Muenster, Germany and the University of Barcelona in Spain from 2003 to 2010. From 2010 to 2011 I was working at the University of Paderborn in Germany as a teacher for drawing and textile art. In 2011 I got the "Goldrausch Künstlerinnen Art It Berlin" scholarship. Since then I am working most of the time as a freelancer and from project to project.

In 2014 I started working with fellow artists from american and african prison.

Since 2015 we are doing a couple of exhibitions together and are working on writing projects as well.

Working with inmates from prison is based on writing and getting a lot of letters which costs a lot of stamps. Also I have high printing costs for photos and art prints which most of the time do not get covered by the ongoing projects and exhibitions.

Not to forget about all art material, frames and other stuff I have to pay out of my own pocket to be able to do exhibitions for educational reasons about the society behind bars which gets represented by my fellow artists from the row.

I have actually three different places in Germany who want to exhibit the collaborative art through prison bars projects but there is no money for transportation, travelling and displaying costs. Since I am working on different shows who will for sure take place I have no time to do money jobs or search for sponsoring other than this little fundraising campaign in order to be able to pay the exhibition and travelling costs for the other (not funded) places. Money should not be the reason to deny a request from a church or student group or whatever else group of people who want to launch an event with the art and me as the speaker for all artists who are participating.

If you like my art projects I would gladly appreciate any kind of financial support. Also do not hesitate to ask me any question you might have by sending me a message through facebook.

Thanks for your time and have a great day!
