We're Give Hope 2 Kids and we want to use solar power to to run our Children's Home in the mountains of Honduras. Our goal is to be more self-sustainable, to use our resources to help kids instead of paying utility bills. Help us make a difference! More ...

We're  Give Hope 2 Kidsa nonprofit with a Children's Home in Honduras for orphaned and abandoned kids, along with many educational and outreach programs for our community.  Our goal is to be as self-sustaining as possible and solar power can help us get there!

Electricity is very expensive in Honduras and currently accounts for 6% of our budget.  Because we are in the tropics, with a lot of sunshine, solar power is a great method for us to reduce our expenses.

We've already purchased the actual solar panels, but we need $10,000 to purchase an inverter, batteries, and other necessary equipment.

Our system will pay for itself in two years and the system can last for 20-30 years!  We want to spend our limited resources on the kids and not utility bills
