Many of you have probably heard about the Typhoon that hit the Philippines last week. Thousands were killed and hundreds of thousands lost their homes. My family in the Philippines is very large in numbers and was lucky enough to all survive the storm but they did lose their home and are currently living in tents without food or water. The aid that has been sent to the Philippines hasn't been distributed to everyone due to all the damaged roads. My family has not received any food yet even though a plane landed just 45 minutes from their province. The money we are raising will go towards rebuilding their home. The US dollar goes a long way in the Philippines, $2000 will be enough to rebuild the roof at the very least. I do understand that this fundraiser does go to my family personally. There are some families in even worse conditions than mine so if you would rather donate to the Philippines as a whole please contact me for more information so I can give you a reliable link to donate to. The government in the Philippines is very corrupt so not all the money is being used towards the victims so be very careful about who you choose to donate to. Thank you so much for reading this. If you cannot donate, then a prayer is also greatly appreciated. Like I said, the US dollar goes a long way so if you can even give $1 or $5 me and my family will be extremely grateful.
