We have started a fundraiser to help Dalton Noakes through his battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

A message from Dalton:

Hey Everyone!

First of all, I would like to say thank you so much! I truly am in awe at the outpouring of support. It brings me great joy to know that I have such great friends and family both at home and from all over the country. Overall, I am doing fine all things considered! I am admittedly more tired than usual, but still my spirits are very high! I mean, who doesn't want to take a 4 hour nap every day!? For those of you who are wondering, I have been diagnosed with stage 2A nodular sclerosing Hodgkin's Lymphoma, which is early to mid-stage. This is basically a cancer of the blood/lymph tissue which has caused a mass to develop in the right side of my chest that spans from my neck almost to my heart and is currently pressing up against my esophagus, a major artery, and one of my lungs. I will be starting chemotherapy at the Cancer Center of Kansas in Wichita next Wednesday the 6th with approximately 4-6 rounds (8-12 treatments) to follow. After that, I will undergo radiation treatment to completely finish off the rest of the cancerous tissue. My doctors say I should be completely cured by around March or April! Now, I know all of this sounds a bit scary, but really try not to worry! Like I said, my spirits are extremely high. In all honesty, I am more upset about having to leave school than I am to have cancer! Speaking of which, I will be back home in Kansas for the rest of the school year and I will be going back to UPenn to start over as a Freshman in the Fall of 2014. But who know's what I will be studying! I'm keeping my options open! In the meantime, I plan to keep up with my studies at Wichita State next semester, though classes won't count for credit, as well as I plan to take on some kind of volunteer work if I feel up to it! If any of you have any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask! I may be a bit slow to answer, but I promise I will get you one! Once again, thank you all so much for your support. It really means a lot to me.

Much Love,
Dalton
