UPDATE/FUNDRAISER FOR BROOKE - MEDICAL AND TRAINING!!! FOSTER/POSSIBLE ADOPT!!! This sweet girl (now known as) Brooke was first posted on our page back in Sept 2012. After numerous sightings, uncountable failed captures, Brooke was finally caught July 4th, 2013, with the help of Colette, Terri and (called in) Evansville Animal Care and Control Officer Kenny Kamp. In the past 3 weeks Alisa Webster, Randy and other staff of EACC have been working on helping Brooke come out of her "shell" and progress has been made. But it is NOW time for someone to step up in our Community and give this dog a chance at a life all dogs deserve-a home, security and love!! EACC did have Marlin Beck, dog trainer/behaviorist come to the facility and assess Brooke on 7/25/13. Mr. Beck has given his recommended/professional opinion that Brooke is a great candidate for being rehabilitated and would benefit greatly in a foster and/or adopted home. Brooke has been up dated on vaccinations, is approximately 4 to 5 years old and very likely spayed. So any and all funds raised will be to help the foster/adopter chosen with medical (bloodwork, heartworm test and if needed treatment and/or preventative for a year) and training expenses. Mr. Beck has offered his services when the time comes to begin Brooke's rehab. The requirements that will be needed for a foster/adopted home will be: 1 to 2 pets (or no pets), an adult(s), routine, stable, non chaotic environment. The most important of all is a person with the PATIENCE AND DEDICATION to assist Brooke into becoming a beloved family member. Mr. Beck gave a guesstimate of 12 months in all for her to be on her way to trusting and becoming a companion to a family. PLEASE HELP!!! So many of us in our community have watched, worried, chased and prayed for this day that Brooke would be caught, find a special loving human and home. She can not ask but in her eyes she is pleading for what all dogs give us unconditional love and understanding!! If interested in applying for this amazing, life rewarding position please contact: animalcareandcontrol@evansville.in.gov. And if not able to try and find a place in your home then please donate to the fundraiser we now have set up to give this girl her life back!! Thank you and God bless!!!
