Hello all! I've been accepted to La Musica Lirica, an international opera festival for singers, which takes place in Italy. Despite multiple jobs, as a struggling full-time college student, I could truly use some help making this opportunity reality..
Hi everyone, I've been provided with the most remarkable performance opportunity! I've always felt the need to sing and perform, and I'm now en route to making that dream a reality by beginning my junior year at Loyola University New Orleans- studying vocal performance and getting operatically trained.
Out of countless auditionees from all around the country, I have been graciously accepted by La Musica Lirica, an international opera festival for singers to be a part of their summer production of Suor Angelica. While being an extraordinary chance to travel, it is also a magnificent opportunity for training, networking, and a big step in my career.

The program takes place in Novafeltria, Italy, and runs from June 15th to July 20th, 2013. The program will allow me to work with internationally recognized faculty to include: Maestro Joseph Rescigno - principal conductor of the Florentine Opera of Milwaukee, Emanuele Andrizzi - assistant conductor of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Candace Evans, Robert Breault, Brygida Bziukiewicz-Kulig, Julia Faulkner, John David DeHaan, Francois Loup, and Ubaldo Fabbri, just to name a few.
I have the honor of having been selected for the Studio Division. In addition to rehearsing and performing in their opera production, I will receive up to 20 hours of Italian per week, two half hour coachings with Rossini Opera Festival coaches, two forty five minute voice lessons, and a master class during the fifth week. Further information about the program can be found at

Unbelievable, isn't it? This is where I need your help. Despite this remarkable opportunity, as a struggling full-time college student, and even with multiple part time jobs, I unfortunately do not have the funds to make this prospect a reality on my own.
The overall cost of the five week program includes tuition, and room and board. To help defray from the initial expense of the program as well as the added expenses of flight, meals, and daily necessities, I am asking for your financial support in this endeavor. La Musica Lirica is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt charitable educational institution, which makes all donations tax deductible.
I know that times are tough on everyone, but any contribution at all would be sincerely appreciated and would make more of a difference than you could imagine. Thank you so much in advance for your consideration, and for helping to make my dreams a reality.
