Please find it in your hearts to make a small donation to assist the school families of our parish, Our Lady Queen of Peace, who were heavily impacted by hurricane Sandy. Several school families have lost their entire homes. Our little Ava has children in her first grade class that have lost everything! I can't begin to fathom what these families are going through and can only hope that we can help them get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
The archdiocese has made it known that if the school was to effort raising funds for victims of the storm that all donations must go into a pool for the entire catholic community. This is completely understandable but we have made a decision to raise funds on our own without the assistance of OLQP. By raising funds on our own, with your help, we can directly assist our parish families by providing aid needed to help them rebuild their lives after this devastating storm.
My Family has been parishioners of OLQP for eight years now and two of our three children attend parochial school there. It is a small parish but large in spirit.
We are new at this and simply ask that you find it in your heart to make a small donation to our parish victims of hurricane Sandy. If you can't make a donation we then only ask that you please forward this to your friends and family. In doing so you will be helping raise funds for a specific cause that will make a huge impact on a small parish.
