Our facilitator in British Columbia Canada, Laura Boyd Clowes, follows in the footsteps of other CE facilitators working with Cow-op, a digital food association based in the Cowichan Valley.
Each CE facilitator has helped Cow-op dramatically grow the digital intersection between the marketing efforts of some 50 farms in the Cowichan Valley and several hundred consumers.
The Cow-op provides local wholesome food in a time of major need.
Over the Covid-19 pandemic, Cow-op grew six-fold. As part of the secure local food movement, Cow-op farmers are all using regenerative farming practices, helping grow a sustainable local economy, and developing a stronger community culture.
By successfully supporting operations of community-owned businesses that have positive social outcomes, our facilitators help their communities become self-sustaining.
