I'm asking you to adopt our partner communities in Ecuador by supporting their Community Evolution facilitator.

CE is totally volunteer run. All donated funds go to the local community facilitator, seed capital for a community’s business, and the training that a community requires.

The Ecuadorean community of Amanta is in the opening stages of scaling up their guinea pig farming enterprise to provide a larger supply of food for sale. Guinea pig farming will help stabilize the local economy, support the stability of communal life, and increase nutritional protein for the local population.  Guinea pigs are wholly vegetarian in diet and also provide a ready source of manure for organic farming.

Community Evolution is providing $3,000 to train the Amanta community in the skills required to scale up the production of guinea pigs. Our facilitator, Daniel, will support the community in working with government partners – the municipality, ministry of agriculture, local university – who will provide the $40,000 for building the physical infrastructure – holding pens, slaughterhouse, sausage-making facility, etc.

We are encouraging donations be made to the Amanta community to pay $6,000 for the initial crop of breeding guinea pigs.
