I am joining this campaign in honor of my brother Ronald. He bravely battled for 60 Days against COVID-19. His doctors put him into a coma and intubated him to help his body fight this deadly lung infection. He is now on the long road to recovery and our family will be there by his side. I have seen COVID-19 hurt my brother, and I want to end it so that the rest of my family, including my parents and grandparents, are safe once again.
As a small business owner, I have experienced first-hand the devastating effects of COVID-19 on our economy. As a LatinX, LGBTQ business leader – I have worked hard to build my business and provide for my family. I now find myself, like so many Angelenos, in survival mode.
This is why I raise money for the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Network. I believe it is cutting-edge research that will put this deadly lung infection in our rear view mirror and allow us to thrive once again.
