The Health & Wellness programs at Boys & Girls Clubs of Long Beach focus on the skills needed to have a healthy life while learning financial literacy and substance abuse prevention techniques, along with gender-specific programs that ease the transition from childhood to adolescence and help young people make good decisions for themselves.

Healthy HabitsSmart GirlsPassport to ManhoodBrent's ClubHealthy Habits:
This program is designed to incorporate healthy living and active learning into all components of a member's life, so they understand the benefits of eating smart and being physically active.
SMART Girls:
Female Club members need a safe setting in which they can address health and social issues unique to them and build the necessary skills to resist negative influences such as drugs, alcohol and premature sexual activity. To help girls develop and adopt a healthy attitude and lifestyle, as well as acquire and maintain a positive self-concept, sound decision-making skills, and mentor relationships.
Passport to Manhood:
Teaches and promotes responsibility, reinforces positive behavior, and develops character in adolescent males. The passage from boyhood to manhood is challenging, requiring adolescent males to understand and manage many issues and transitions. Passport to Manhood addresses critical issues that young men face during this time, such as ethics, decision making, wellness, fatherhood, employment and careers, cooperation and conflict, diversity, relationships, and self-esteem.
Brent's Club:
The program goal is to conquer alcohol and drug dependence by turning the fear, grief, and helplessness caused from this disease into awareness, compassion, and support while promoting awareness for the dangers of experimenting with alcohol and drugs.
