One year ago - on the fifth night of Chanukah and the first yahrzeit (anniversary of passing) of our beloved daughter - we proudly announced the start of an exciting, new organization. We created Nashira to continue the profound impact Ashira Rabinowitz had on her peers both at FSU, where she was a junior, and in Atlanta, where she grew up, as a "best friend", "personal cheerleader", confidante, and someone who lived authentically, and with joy.
Nashira's mission is to promote confidence, resilience, gratitude, meaningful connections, trust and mutual respect in adolescent and teen girls. Our motto is "girls rising together" and our aim is to change the culture of women and girls to one of positivity, support, and an abundance mindset - the idea that sharing resources rather than competing for them benefits us all. Girls today face so much potential toxicity through social media's unrealistic portrayals and the stress of needing to excel in all areas. In 2025 we rolled out our first two pilot programs to address these issues. In 2026 - with your support - we will expand existing programs and introduce several new initiatives. The greater your generosity, the bigger our impact.
