A tire of the van we had been living in blew out, causing a serious accident that totaled the vehicle. Both Divtech and Leah are without a home right now. We are parting ways, but this fundraiser will be split evenly between us, every bit helps.

Sometimes everything breaks at once. This is one of those times, but we are trying to recover and salvage what is possible from this crash and work through this period of transition.

A tire blew out when I (Leah) was driving the van on the highway, there was no shoulder and when I tried to break I lost control and the van spun around into the other lane and then flipped over into the center ditch. I spent what seemed like hours looking for our cats in the wreckage of the van. I have vivid flashbacks of the crash, EMTs screaming at me, random folks telling me my cats are probably dead (they are fine, by the way) and the intense feelings surrounding all of that on an hourly basis now. I escaped with injuries barely worth mentioning, but my dang trauma saturated brain isn't letting this go easy.

The van was totaled, but just barely, luckily insurance ran it as an RV so we got a decent payout from our policy.

Funds will be split evenly between David and Leah/Leo so we can both obtain or build out our own separate homes on wheels, and spend some time healing and recovering from what has been a month marked with loss and confusion.

David and I have decided to end our relationship, and coming to that conclusion has been really tough for both of us. I have not been dealing with it well. I would like to formally apologize for slandering their name in a trauma-based breakdown because I understand now that they have always intended to share the fundraiser money with me. We still care deeply for one another and would still like to cooperate through this transition.

I have raised the goal to $8k, this amount would put both of us on much more solid financial footings to start our independent lives and secure super solid housing/vehicles.

Thanks to all who have donated! Thanks for your support, patience and compassion.
