Colette Grime'-Kinder hasn't added a story.
On January 5th, Colette and her children were celebrating her mother's 87th birthday and listening to her father tell stories of his time in the Korean War. But 10 days later their lives changed dramatically. Her father contracted a kidney infection and her mother fell ill with pneumonia. After a 21 day hospital stay her father was given a "well" release, and her mother the same. They were both then tranfered to a Rehab Facility where the two intended to work with a thereapist and return home in 5 days. However, in less than 24 hours her father became unresponsive; the hospital has addmited fault, and the family is awaiting the autopsey results. Meanwhile, her mother's health took a decline at the loss of her beloved husband of 62 years. She remains in rehab while Colette struggles to figure out how she will continue to provide for her with her father's loss of income. She asks not for herself but on behalf of her Mama that you find it in your heart to help this family through their grief and these times of hardship. Colette's parents survived soley on their social security as well as a small War Disability check from her father's injuries during his service to his country. There was no insurance or savings. Colette seeks financial help for the following: The dignified disposition of her fathers remains, as well as a memorial and obituary costs. A vehicle to transport her mother to and from the doctor (her parents vehicle is 15 years old and in need of major repairs), help with all housing expenses to keep her existing home, and or moving expenses including deposit money to relocate to a smaller rental. Her mother is in need of hearing aids not covered by Medicare, and numerous care needs that exceed the family's ability to provide. She must also hire in Home Care Nursing, CNA to aid with her lifting and bathing and a therapist to help with transfers until she regains her strength. Colette has suffered the loss of her two brothers to wrongful deaths and now is anguished and faced with the task of trying to right this wrong against her father and is overwhelmed with all the responsibilities on her shoulders. Those that know her and know this wonderful family, know they are people with their hearts in the right place that believe that if you do good, good will come to you. They ask that you find that place in your heart that allows you to give and do good; no matter how small your gift.
