Suvapat Jantra hasn't added a story.
My name is Anny, I am 24 years old, and I am a ladyboy. My biggest dream is to get the sex change operation that will allow me to be a real lady. I have been trapped in the wrong body all my life, and I urge you to help me escape. This is my story.
My Childhood
I grew up in a small town in Southeast Thailand. My father left my mother before I was born, and my mother died when I was quite young. Even before she died, she was never really there to take care of me. I spent my childhood being tossed around between different foster families, and I never felt welcome anywhere. I was forced to do hard manual labour from a very early age, and I have suffered a lot of both physical and mental abuse. Regular beatings by adults who claimed to be my caretakers were part of my daily life for many years. The mental agony of nobody loving me or caring about me was far worse though. I have been called “child of a dog” more times than I can remember, and nobody ever saw me for what I really was.
When I was in my early teens, I was forced to make the choice to stop school and start working to help provide for my foster family. Also, I felt a strong urge to break free of depending on someone else, so it was really an easy decision, although today I regret it. I started out by working at a local karaoke bar for about 4 years, and later transitioned into the construction business working as an electricians aid for about 6 months. The work was very hard and, though the money I earned was enough to help my foster family, I realised that it would take me forever to save up for the sex change operation that I so desperately wanted. I changed jobs again to work as a waitress at a local restaurant. The pay was a little better, but it was still far from what I needed to afford a proper sex change operation from a good doctor. It was then that I made the tough decision to move to Pattaya and look for work there.
The Pattaya Years
I have lived in Pattaya for 4 years now, and although I have earned
more money here than anywhere else I have worked, the work put even
more stress on both my body and mind than anything else I have
experienced in my life. Here in Pattaya, I have been working as a bar
girl. For those of you who don’t know what bar girls in Pattaya do,
the work basically consists of waiting on male tourists and getting
them to buy drinks for you. For every drink they buy for you, a small
amount gets added to your earnings for the day. But it doesn’t stop
there. The ultimate goal is to get a man to take you to his hotel room
for sex.
I have had to put up with everything from bizarre sexual
perversions to threads of getting thrown out from a 3rd floor window,
when a Russian tourist discovered that I was a ladyboy. Not to mention
the extreme stress it has put on my body to have to get drunk every
single night. Sure, I have met a nice guy now and then and had a
couple of fun nights out, but, for the vast majority of the time, the
work at the bar has been hell.
Life After The Bar
A few months ago, I finally decided that I had to quit my work at the bar. The constant drinking was making me feel very bad, and my body was threatening to give in at any point. Not to mention the stress I felt from the pressure of having to go home with another man every night. However, I knew that my decision would make it almost impossible for me to achieve my dream of getting my sex change operation. There are other jobs in Pattaya, but those available to an un-educated young ladyboy like myself don’t pay nearly as much as working at the bar.
I share my story with you like this in the hopes that you will help me to stick with my decision to quit working at the bar. If I can raise the money for my sex change operation through this campaign, it will allow me to fulfil my dream, as well as continue my new life without the bar. I still work hard every day to earn money on my own, but it will take me many years to save up the money needed. I have had a couple of smaller operations already, and I have managed to save up $1500 for the sex change operation, but I am still far from my ultimate goal. It's a very expensive operation.
I cannot offer any interesting merchandise or memorabilia in return for your help, but I can promise that I will be eternally grateful for any donation you are able to make. I can also promise, that I will continue to share my story with you going forward, until I can finally get the operation that I so desperately want. By donating to me, you are not just helping me become a real lady, you are also allowing me to continue a life without prostitution and “professional alcoholism”. I hope that some day I may be able to pay that favour forward, and devote time to helping some of the many other ladies and ladyboys who want to escape the sex industry in Thailand.
