Dogs On Board Rescue, Inc. hasn't added a story.
Take Me Home Rescue 501(c)3 non-profit saved 10-year old Cinnamon from the high-kill shelter in Las Vegas last week knowing she needed a dental. But her foster parents quickly noticed that she had blood in her urine. Blood work and a urinalysis were run and she had X-rays taken. We found out she didn't just have a bladder infection, but a huge stone in her bladder. And the blood work indicated her liver was failing.
A specialist was called to do an ultrasound to see what might be going on with her liver. It showed no signs of cancer or cirrhosis so he recommended they do the bladder surgery to remove the stone and take a tissue biopsy of the liver at the same time. Our only other option was euthanasia because she could not live without having the stone removed and they couldn't treat the liver without information from a biopsy.
In spite of the fact that Cinnamon is very sick, can't hold down much food, and it hurts when she goes potty, she always has a little wiggly butt, dances around for attention and loves to cuddle. We couldn't let this girl down so we decided to do the surgery to give her a chance at a good life.
She had the surgery today, 1/16/14, and the bills are mounting. They're almost $2,000 so far. Please donate what you can and share her plea with your friends. We need your help so we can continue saving dogs like Cinnamon and finding them forever homes where they will not be let down again.
