We pulled Jobe from the town of islip shelter on July 5th. He was severely neglected. We have been helping him heal for just over 2 months now, and he needs surgery to fix his eyes, and then his rehabilitation will be complete.

Jobe's cataracts were caused by the neglect induced dry eye and can be repaired, but is a large estimate. We would need to raise between 5k and 7k. This would allow him to see more than shadows. He is estimated to be about 5 to 7 years old. He is housebroken, good with all age kids and loves cats and dogs.
We would like to undo the damage caused by his being neglected, as this isn't because he got old. He just wasn't groomed for a long timw and hair matted over his eyes :(
In order to do the surgery he needs an Electroretinogram/Ocular Ultrasound
That test is about $750. That is step one.
We recently put him on an additional medication to help with inflammation of the eye due to the damage in addition to his dry eye drops.
Every dollar helps us get closer to Jobe getting the surgery to restore his sight.
