The work we undertake in rescue is never easy.  Often, we shake our heads and must remind ourselves that we need to focus on the needy doxie in front of us and not the neglect or abuse the little one has faced before they have reached our caring arms.   This is the story of Rosie.  We wonder how long she suffered, how much abuse she endured and what would have happened had we not reached her.

Rosie is a black and tan little girl that was found caged under a kitchen sink.  Her skin was crawling with fleas and although she is safe with us now, her follow up veterinary visit revealed a 3-pronged metal object in her abdomen.   Clearly, we need to have it removed ASAP.

Today, Rosie needs you.  She needs veterinary support.  We have so much work to do to make her life a good one again.  It is most likely that she will heal from her physical damage long before her mental scars, but we must begin where we can.  Blood work, radiographs and an evaluation by a team of experts, then endoscopy or surgery.  Can you help us to end the suffering for this little girl?  We, and she are hoping you can.

Remember, generous support is desperately needed and greatly appreciated.  Like many non-profit organizations DRBC is a 501[c][3] operated solely by volunteers.  We have been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, re-homing and educating families about this breed for almost 35 years.  We welcome and need your benevolent tax-deductible donation.  Please, help us to help them.

We welcome you to stay tuned for updates.  Until then, Rosie, all the rescue doxies and the DRBC Team thank you.
