Mary and Macy were rescued at 3 to 4 weeks old. Abandoned by a feral Mom, they have both suffered severed corneal ulcers. They are happy, wonderful, sweet kittens who are in need of eye surgery to maximize their chances for adoption. They are fighters!

I am Macy and Mary's foster Mom.  Macy and Mary suffered severe corneal ulcers due to either long term infection or starvation, or perhaps both.  Mary is clinically blind and Macy is blind in one eye.  So far they have survived despite ALL of the odds.  To help Mary and Macy get adopted they would need surgery to remove their eyes.  The purpose is two fold, one is cosmetic, and the second ensures they don't suffer chronic infection or pressure on the eyes. The rescue who opened their hearts to these girls is already maxed out due to circumstances that were beyond their control, and having just built an isolation unit for sick kittens, their funds are in the red.  In order to save these little girls lives we would need to raise the funds to make this surgery possible.  These little girls are sweet and funny, playful, gregarious, and Mary, despite her blindness, navigates her world like a little champ.  She has no idea that she's blind! We have worked tirelessly for weeks to save these precious babies, THEY are fighters, we have fought hard along side them to get them this far, now we need a village to take them the rest of the way.  Will you consider being a part of Mary and Macy's village?  If you would like to donate privately you are welcome to send funds directly to Furry Tales Cat Rescue at furrytalesrescue@gmail.com as a registered non-profit, tax receipts are available if you donate directly.  Thank you, from OUR hearts, to YOURS.
