My name is Aglika Yonova and I am an animal rights activist. I am a member of numerous animal welfare groups that provide treatment, shelter and care for abandoned and stray animals. Naturally, we mostly deal with animals in desperate need for medical care and new owners. Most of the rescued animals are sent to new owners abroad, mostly in Germany, Austria and the UK; however, many of the older ones are unwanted and so I have designated a part of my garden as an animal shelter.

Currently, my household provides shelter for over 20 dogs and 7 cats, though we have also taken care of birds, porcupines, rabbits, and will continue to provide care for any animal to the best of our abilities.

Pooh (the little kitten on the picture) was found next to a dumpster on the brink of death. He is completely blind and his eyes are seriously infected. It is unknown who or what caused this. Pooh requires a special Dutch medicine that prevents the infection from spreading. More importantly, both eyes needs to be surgically removed.

I will be providing before and after pictures so the visual progress can be tracked as Pooh gets better. The swelling has already gone down quite a bit thanks to the Dutch ointment.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated. The price for removal of one eye has been estimated to cost the equivalent of $350.
