"I don't know many athletes who have died as a result of a torn ligament or broken bone. However, I can name too many who have died as a result of a mental health struggle they were too afraid to share"
THE CANADIAN CENTRE FOR MENTAL HEALTH & SPORT
The CCMHS is a registered charity supporting the mental
health and performance of competitive and high-performance
athletes, coaches, and performing artists.
They are the first Centre in Canada to offer
collaborative sport/performance-focused mental health care
services designed to help athletes, coaches, and performing
artists achieve their performance goals while preserving
their mental health and well-being.
The financial health of the CCMHS relies, in part, on
the generosity of donors who share our core values and
desire to positively impact the sports community and
performing arts domain.
Your contributions will help shift mental health
TALK to mental health
ACTION and have a long-term impact by
improving access to efficient and effective care and
lifelong participation in sport and the performing arts.
Adopt-An-Athlete FundAs a young organization, funds are directed where they are most needed - primarily to support the core infrastructures that make the delivery of sport/performance-informed mental health care possible.
CCMHS' Adopt-An-Athlete | Coach fund uses donations to subsidize mental health care for athletes and coaches who meet eligibility requirements but cannot afford care.

“I want to be the most confident, strong person I can be for my son but at some point, I might falter and that’s fine. Men must realize there’s no shame in feeling vulnerable or putting yourself out there because everyone’s going to be vulnerable at some point.”

FUNDRAISING RULES
Those interested in a chance at playing in the AthletesVS tournament must register in teams of 3 to create their own sub-campaign fundraising page.
The first 9 TEAMS who fundraise the $150 team minimum requirement will automatically secure their spot to play in the AthletesVS tournament with one of our athletes.
SELECTING AN ATHLETE TEAMMATE
As teams raise their $50 fundraising minimum, AthletesVS will contact the team captain and they will have the opportunity to choose the athlete they want to join their team.
Disclaimers:
- Donations of $20 or more will receive a tax receipt directly from The Canadian Centre for Mental Health and Sport after the tournament date of July 22nd.
- You must be 18 years of age or older to participate in the AthletesVS tournament.
- A controller must be used for participants who choose to play in the tournament using a PC.
- Not every team that fundraises OR reaches the $150 team minimum will get to play in the AthletesVS tournament. To secure your spot to play, teams must raise the $150 team minimum in the fastest amount of time.
