Do you need to raise, lower or remove your campaign’s goal?
This page will show you how. Before you continue, which kind of campaign did you create?
- Keep It All (This type of campaign does not require a goal)
The goal on a campaign using our “Keep it all” Funding method can be edited or removed at any time before the campaign launches or while it’s still active. Once a Keep it All campaign has been Finished, the goal can no longer be edited or removed.
- All Or Nothing (This type of campaign does require a goal)
The goal on a campaign using our “All or nothing” Funding method can be changed at any time before the campaign receives it’s first contribution. Once an All Or Nothing campaign has received it’s first contribution, the goal can no longer be edited.
To edit or remove your goal:
Go to your campaign’s Edit page, then click the Funding & Deadline tab and you’ll see your goal near the top of the screen. Just type in the new goal and click Save Changes.
Important: When removing your goal (leaving the box empty or with $0), it will remove the goal but continue to show the current amount raised.
To hide your goal and total funds raised:
Go to your campaign’s Edit page and select the Privacy tab. At the very bottom of this page, you can choose to remove the visual indicator for your campaign goal.
Please keep in mind that removing this public display of efforts may discourage support. Donors like to see the impact of their efforts and hiding this incentive to donate may dissuade future donations.
