Pet celebrator – Connection builder – Fundraiser

The EYP Pet Pageant is a FUNdraising opportunity to come together and celebrate our work from home colleagues on Thursday, June 3rd at a live event! We have partnered with PETSET – a Houston based animal advocacy group that focuses on providing safe spaces, medical care, and advocacy for animals of all shapes and sizes😊. All proceeds will be directed to this amazing organization!

Pet parents can enter their pet into ANY category they think is appropriate for their pet, from Diesel - Top Toy Shredder to Britney and Christina - Most Practical! A few category/title ideas are listed with the detailed Registration instructions below. Registration is open until Wednesday, 5/19 at midnight so please put your pet's best paw, claw, or tail forward via pictures and/or 30-60 second videos. Voting will then commence from Friday, 5/21 until Friday 5/28 at midnight through the same link. While all pets entered will be featured in the live show, top earners will be invited to make a LIVE APPEARANCE to be further celebrated by some special guests, including Mitch Berlin and West region leadership.

WHY DOES THIS MATTER

Better Me – Being a caregiver, even for a pet, is a part of our identity, and being able to share that enables us to fully celebrate who we are and what we care about

Better Us – In a time where we all feel disconnected, what better way to come together than having our WFH colleagues meet our Zoom colleagues. (There may also be a bit more empathy the next time your pup won’t pipe down during a Teams call)

Better World – Through the audience payments to vote, we are raising money to support an amazing animal rescue organization, creating impact for the community

HOW and WHO YOU ARE HELPING

We are raising money for animal advocacy group - PETSET- located in Houston, TX whose mission is "Ending the homelessness and suffering of companion animals and elevating their status in society." Their work  focuses on providing safe spaces, medical care, and advocacy for animals of all shapes and sizes. From transporting pets to the West coast after Katrina to finding homes animals during the pandemic lockdown in the Midwest, they are clearly dedicated to servicing animals and the community.

FOR PETS/CONTESTANTS: 

Instructions:  Desktop or Mobile friendly for media uploads

1. Click on “ Enter your Pet”
2. Review instructions and select “Register as an Individual” if prompted
3. Enter your name and email, then hit " Register"
4. Change Title of Campaign
   1. Scroll down to where it says " YOUR NAME needs your vote!"
   2. Click on the pencil icon in the circle to edit - Change to Your PET'S NAME + the Title/Category of your choosing as, e.g. Mew for Grumpiest Face (See invitation for Category / Title ideas)

   3. NOTE: You can MAKE UP ANY CATEGORY you choose – whatever makes your pet the most special! E.g. Top Toy Shredder or Loudest Tail Wags

5. Add photos or videos
   1. Scroll down past the instructions/PETSET info to select UPDATES
   2. Add photos and videos - 30-60 seconds
   3. Note - Clicking Record video gives the option to Upload as well (site is mobile friendly so you can access from your device to add videos and photos) 
   4. You may be prompted to add a message - no need for full story - a letter or number will suffice
   5. Once you have uploaded your images, you will be in the gallery view and can select an image to be your cover photo by scrolling down and selecting the RED dot on bottom right
6. You are done! Feel free to share your pet's page's link to INTERNAL EYP colleagues to up your pet's ranking for a chance to be featured at the live event!

PLEASE DO NOT SHARE YOUR CAMPAIGN OUTSIDE OF EY WITH ANY OF THE SOCIAL MEDIA LINKS – Email is fine internally 😊 !

Registration Rules:

1. Pets can only enter into one category e.g. Britney and Christina cannot be Most Practical AND Top Producers

2. Multiple pets are allowed in one entry e.g. Britney and Christina can be in the same entry/registration

3. You can enter as many pets as you want into the pageant e.g. Britney and Christina could each have their own entry with same or different categories

4. You can upload as many photos / videos as needed (60 second max)

FOR VOTING: $1/vote, minimum of $2 - Go to "Donate and Vote" at the top of this page or select "Tickets" in the menu above. 

Please note: To view the full roster of pageant contestants and vote for multiple pets within one transaction, use the link above. Votes/contributions CAN be made directly under each pet's campaign, but these are individual transactions and will result in multiple checkouts. 

Voting Instructions

1. Review the images and videos by clicking on Campaigns below the EYP Pet Pageant cover photo. Each pet has it’s own individual campaign and should open in a separate tab from the main page – click on the Gallery link on their cover photo
2. Option 1: Vote for one pet – individual check out can be done through their page.
3. Option 2: Vote for multiple pets - click on Tickets (also under EYP Pet Pageant cover photo) or Vote & Donate when you have your favorites picked out.
4. $1 = 1 vote, with a $2 minimum per pet
5. Top earning pets will qualify to make an appearance at the live show on Thursday, June 3rd –so your contributions matter!

VOTING FAQ/RULES

1. You do not need to Register/Create an account to donate!
2. You can hide your name and/or contribution amount from public view when you are checking out (check the boxes under where you enter your name) but the pet/colleague you donate to will get a notification that you have contributed
3. You can pay with a credit card or your PayPal account
4. Votes are counted in 2 separate places – directly on pet page AND under the tickets page (2x). The SUM of these is the total raised for each pet.
5. DO NOT USE YOUR CORPORATE AMEX - THIS IS NOT THAT KIND OF EVENT:)

TOP earning pets will be featured at the live event, with highlights for all pets that enter, so spread the word and get your EYP colleagues, friends, and teams to contribute to your pet's campaign!
