PINK Animals to the Rescue hasn't added a story.
PINK Animals to the Rescue has been working with Egypt rescues and locals to help get street cats and dogs off the harsh streets of Egypt and to bring them to Canada, adopting them into loving, forever home.
We are strong believers that animals rescue us rather than the other way around. We feel there is no greater reward on the planet than helping an innocent animal have a second chance at a life that he or she could never have dreamed was possible. You just can't put that feeling into words.
With the Coronavirus epidemic, many pets in Egypt have literally been tossed out onto the streets in Egypt out of fear (and ignorance) that they could catch the virus from their pet. The streets of Egypt are very very harsh. It is unimaginable.
The Egyptian government is known for paying their veterinarians to go out to the street and poison the food by lacing it with strychnine. These animals are starving. They think these people are helping them when in truth, they are leaving them to die a painful and horrific death. If you have ever seen anyone or anything die of poisoning, you would know what we are talking about. What’s worse is they do this in front of children so they become desensitized to the suffering of animals and grow to actually hurt them as they see them as garbage. They toss kittens around like they are playing catch with a ball. They beat them with sticks. They burn them by throwing acid on them. They run them over on purpose. It is difficult to walk or drive down a street and not see animals on the sides of the road, literally dying but still alive and people not even taking notice. They are that desensitized to it. It is not just cats and dogs either. It is donkeys, horses and other animals too.
Yet many Egyptians don’t agree with this at all. They know it is wrong. These people who use whatever money they have to buy food for the strays before the government vets come around so they are not hungry and don’t have to rely on them. But with the increasing number of animals that are being tossed out onto the streets, they simply cannot keep up with. They have reached out to us for help.
PINK Animals to the Rescue brings many animals to Canada from Egypt and adopts them into loving homes. Since the Coronavirus epidemic has emerged however, we have not been able to bring them here. So, we are heeding the call and using whatever funds we receive to help rescuers and local folks feed the increasing number of strays on the streets.
Now that flights are opening back up, we are beginning to bring animals in again. YAY!! But we have also decided that we want to continue to contribute to paying for the street dogs and cats as well. Those numbers are not going down anytime soon so the plight is still very desperate and dire.
This is why we created this fundraiser for $2200 USD ($3000 CAD). We need your help to raise funds for:
- Food to help rescuers feed the starving street animals, and
- Travel expenses so we can bring as many cats and dogs to Canada as we possibly can. Some of the travel expenses include: flight, cargo, duties, taxes, vet expenses like vaccines, rabies, coronavirus test (when necessary), micro-chipping, boarding (when required).
Please make a difference by helping us help them. Please donate (either through here or via PayPal at: thepinkvibe@hotmail.com and please share. Thank you. <3
