Hello Friends,
I hope this email finds you doing well!  We just celebrated Therese jumping into the "5.0" club and would like to send some love her way and boomerang some of the support she has provided to many artistic and fundraising causes.  She has also curated many exciting musical and cultural events over the years, and has a magic ear- many of the SF Songbird Festival featured artists she "discovered" have been established as major musical forces!! So many of us have Momo to thank for being a support and connector in our artistic careers.

Let’s send some of that support back as she starts her 50th journey around the sun!

The goal of this initial Pop-Up Virtual Fundraiser is to help with some immediate needs during a career transition, and to fund her efforts to find a space for the next edition of SF Songbird Festival.

We are asking for donations starting at $20- Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated! This campaign will run through September 12th.

More About Momo (aka Therese)

Therese is a Culture Worker and Curator who manages and produces arts programming and events. The events bring together both emerging artists and virtuoso performers from jazz, classical, blues, world, and other genres. She helps performers produce social justice awareness, unique music festivals and multi-disciplinary events.

She is a natural connecto r who inspires both audiences and collaborators to support live performance . Her events bring together emerging and virtuoso performers.  She also helps performers produce social justice awareness, music festivals and public facing multi-discipline events

Momo is also a lifelong activist and artist who has always advocated for voting equality and civil rights. She has lead community artists in curating Dia Los Muertos shrines at Garfield Park and The San Francisco Symphony, The Civic Center and stage-managed events at The Independent,  Great American Music Hall, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Yoshi's,  Amnesia and The Palace of Fine Arts.

She has a background in social media, marketing, fundraising and promoting political awareness. Her fundraising efforts have created awareness about associations like The Revolutionary Association of the Women of Afghanistan (RAWA) a women's organization based in Quetta, Pakistan that promotes women's rights and secular democracy and San Francisco's Red Poppy Art House Family Art program.  She was nominated for a SF State of the Arts 2018 Art Enabler Award for coordinating music events and bringing new economic contributions and artistic opportunities to neighborhoods and musicians.

She would like to continue strengthening her capacity for leadership and collaboration while broadening her regional understanding of the arts and culture field and developing a stronger cross-sector professional network. Her focus will be on learning how to collaborate in new ways, addressing the need for more cultural exchanges and connecting communities that  can work together as artists and cultural space keepers.
