Victor Wright hasn't added a story.
Wouldn't it be nice to design your own wedding gown? Instead of simply going through the magazines for ready-made designs, why not create one yourself? You will surely feel very proud when asked who's the designer of your gown and you will say it's you.
Actually, you can mix match fashion ideas and come up with a unique style. In fact, you can even come up with clothes that fit your budget , omitting the amount you suppose to pay for the designers' fee. You can look for design inspirations by checking spring fashion trends or even 80's fashion trends . Surely, you will find something that will spark your creative imagination.
Here are few tips you need to remember when designing your wedding gown:
Sleeve
If you are the conservative type, you would rather have your upper trunk covered and opt for a sleeve. Often, this part is forgotten when it comes to wedding gowns. This is because strapless gowns have become the trend in the latest wedding gown fashion these days.
Bodice
This is the part of the clothing that is over the waist. You can use this part to accentuate the gown's design to give it a dramatic touch. Accessories to be added may include beading.
Choice of Fabric
If you have specific requirement on the gown's look and weight then you must put proper emphasis on the gown's fabric. Choose the type of material that brings out the gown's luxurious feel and look. However, take note that the type of fabric depends on the tag price. Consider the venue, date and your personal style when choosing the type of fabric to use.
Skirt & Train
The formality of the gown is determined by its train length and skirt style. Trains range from very short to very long. The first one referred as "sweep train" and the latter as "cathedral train". Majority of the trains would need bustling after the wedding ceremony. This is the process when the fabric needs to be hooked or fastened for the bride to be able to move freely.
Silhouette
This is the gown's overall shape. Silhouettes can be ball gown, mermaid, A-line or sheath.
Waistline
This is the dress' focal point. In certain waistlines, various body types will appear dramatically better. For example, an empire waistline (otherwise known as high waist) adds length to women with a petite figure.
Neckline
This determines the tone of the gown. Different necklines give you different looks as well. Necklines can be:
· Sweetheart
· Off Shoulder
· Halter
· Spaghetti
· Strapless
There can be different wedding gown styles to choose from. But always choose the one that defines you most. You don't need to wear the gown so that you will look good to others. Choose a gown that you feel comfortable to wear and something that tells a lot about you. Obviously, choose designs that will also fit the occasion. Don't choose styles that do not look appropriate such as not rated boots. And don't forget that simplicity is beauty so make sure that you make the gown look elegant and simple at the same time.
