We are a team of university students competing to win up to $10,000 for Hope's Home at the Charity Championship presented by Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw.

This isn’t just fundraising, it’s FUNdraising!

We are a group of university students who represent the paul J. Hill School of Business at the annual JDC West Competition. JDC West is the largest student business competition in Western Canada. It is a three-day business case competition that will be taking place in Edmonton, Alberta in January 2017. Nearly 650 students will unite to compete in academics, debate, athletics, and social. As part of this competition each of the 12 teams across Western Canada volunteer with organizations within their community and fundraise for a charity of their choice. The charity we are fundraising for this year is Hope’s Home.

Hope's Home provides daycare services, where children with complex medical needs and their siblings can come during the day and laugh and grow and be kids alongside typically developing children in the community. This integrated environment is the first of it's kind in Canada. Hope's Home also provides respite services for the families of children with complex medical needs, as well as supportive living homes for foster children with complex medical needs. Our team is one of their largest donors each year and we are excited to continue our support.

The charity we are fundraising for this year is Hope’s Home, a local daycare for medically complex children and their families. Our team is one of their largest donors each year and we are excited to continue our support!

Throughout the past 5 years, we have raised over $300,000 for Hope's Home. We are hoping to compete in this competition in order to raise even more money for this amazing charity!

Welcome to the Charity Championship

Presented by Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw

Casinos Regina and Moose Jaw are passionate about giving back to the communities in which they operate. By hosting the Charity Championship event, the casinos are supporting numerous charities and non-profits through philanthropic donations, and bringing people together for fun and fundraising with the aim to build a better community for our friends, family and future. 

Here's What our Team is Doing

We are competing against other charity crusaders to be the champions of our charity! On August 19, 2016, beginning at noon, we will sprint, jump, bounce and climb our way through a giant, 100 foot long inflatable obstacle course. Click here to view the course we will be competing on.

Also, come cheer us and the other teams on while enjoying the beer gardens, a BBQ, and crowd prizing!

The top four teams will win the cash prizes below:

Teams will be timed as each member runs the course. And, here’s where the help of our friends comes in! The more money we raise, the more time we get taken off of our total obstacle course run time:


Here's How it Works

Round 1:

All 40 teams will race against the clock to complete the 100 foot obstacle course. Teams with the best times, will hold a higher place on the leader board. Once each team completes the course, their corresponding time advantage will be taken off their final score. Teams will be placed in first to last place based on their readjusted final score

Round 2:

The top 16 teams will move on to Round 2 and compete in a bracket style tournament. Teams will be seeded in the bracket based on their standings in round 1. Time advantages will be applied to their second round run as a head start before the other teams. The fastest teams in each bracket will move on to the next round until the last four teams are left standing!

Bonus Prizing

There are three additional team cash prizes to be won, all of which can be donated back to our charity of choice if we choose:

1. Top Fundraising Team - $1,000: This prize goes to the team that raised the most money through their FundRazr team page  

2. Most Inspirational Team - $750: This prize goes to the team that had the most social sharing when a contribution was made through their FundRazr team page 

3. Best Spirited Team - $500: This prize goes to the team with the best attitude, costumes or theme and sportsmanship, as voted by the Casino Regina volunteers
