William Walker Elementary is hosting our first book fair in over a decade and we need your help. 

William Walker is built on a mission of “high levels of learning and success for ALL students.” But, purchasing new books is a luxury that many of our families cannot afford.  Our students who are furthest from opportunity need foundational learning tools, like access to books at home. 

This year, our academic support staff and Parent Teacher Club have teamed up to raise money so each of our students can choose their own book at our book fair next month.

Your support can help us raise at least $3,900 to make a book purchase a reality for all of our William Walker students. We'd be grateful your financial support in this endeavor. The average book fair book costs between $6-$8. Your donation of $7 or more will get a new book into the hands of a student who otherwise might not have access.  Our Parent Teacher Club is generously giving $1000 toward this endeavor but we need your help to make this a success for every student.

Our November newsletter will feature the names of all of community sponsors for this event. 

William Walker is a Title 1 School, that serves approximately 580 local kids. Out of 34 elementary schools in the Beaverton School District, we have the second highest rate of students living in poverty.
