The Elmonica Engineers want to provide opportunities for all of our students to develop their design thinking and problem-solving skills in our Makerspace. Students will access engineering resources to create solutions to open-ended design problems.

Elmonica Elementary School is a large and diverse school in Beaverton, Oregon. Our Elmonica students have many different languages, socioeconomic statuses, and life experiences. We want all Elmonica students to learn how to solve open-ended problems utilizing relevant engineering and design practices so that they may become accomplished at solving complex problems at school and in life.

Your contribution toward our makerspace will put engineering projects in the hands of more than 650 students in grades K-5, many of whom would not otherwise have access to engineering and design opportunities. Your contribution will place tools in the hands of our students:

• motors
• programming tools
• corrugated cardboard
• rubber bands
• dowels
• legos
• batteries
• filming devices
• glue
• binder clips
• alligator clips
• fabric
• electrical tape

Will you please help us bring engineering tools to the hands of our diverse and deserving students?
