FIRE DESTROYS 50 HOMES IN CAMBODIAN CHILDREN'S FUND COMMUNITY IN STEUNG MEANCHEY, PHNOM PENH.

We are deeply saddened to hear of a fire that occurred in Sambok Chab a small community in Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh. On March 17, around 3 pm a fire started in one house that quickly swept through the small community. Despite the community’s best efforts to contain the fire, it was quick to consume everything in its path. Within a half hour, this once bustling community was reduced to ash. People inside the community at the time of the fire were quick to act and miraculously everyone escaped without serious injury.

FAMILIES IN NEED OF URGENT SUPPORT.

In solidarity with our partners Cambodian Children's Fund, we invite our World Housing network to make a donation to help restore this once thriving community. In the wake of the blaze 50 families have lost their homes, belongings, safety, security and livelihood.  All are poor families who had very little to begin with, now they are left with nothing.  Urgent support is needed to provide basic needs like food, shelter, and water.

WE CAN HELP REBUILD THE HOMES IN THIS COMMUNITY!

Our goal is to raise $2,000 per home to rebuild as many homes as possible for these families who have been displaced.... and every dollar counts with 100% of all donations going towards supporting and rebuilding the stricken community. If we all come together we can help the people of Steung Meanchey in this time of desperate need.

Thanks for getting involved.
