To make our fields more Northwest friendly, we are kicking off a fund raiser. Our first step is installing infield turf at Brock O’Connor Field.

About SLL: Sammamish Little League is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit, 501c3 registered, youth sports program that give boys and girls age 5-18 years old the opportunity to play baseball, softball and T-ball in a positive, community-oriented environment where teamwork, sportsmanship, and opportunity are emphasized. In 2016, Sammamish Little League served to more than 1000 athletes in spring and summer programs.

Why should you care: The first project will install infield turf at Brock O’Connor Field. Brock will be the example for future upgrades to the other fields, as we negotiate wet seasons like the one we just wrapped. The goal is to raise $200,000 by the end of September. The funds will contribute to survey, material, and labor costs. We have started the permitting process and are excited to improve the league even more!

A couple important notes related to your donation:

  • Any donation to a 501c3 is tax deductible. SLL Tax ID is 91-1741815.
  • Your donation is eligible for corporate matching if you work for one of the great companies in the area. This includes Microsoft, Boeing, T-Mobile, Expedia, Wells Fargo among others. Double your impact with matching funds.

Other projects in the pipeline:

  • Same field turf project at Pine Lake Middle School
  • Covering dugouts at Klahanie Park
  • Covering batting cages at Brock O’Conner and McWhirter
  • Installation of batting cages at Beaver Lake Park
  • Resurfacing/replacing infield dirt at McWhirter
