Established in 2021, the San Jose Film Collective is a 100% volunteer and POC-led organization dedicated to empowering diverse filmmakers in the Bay Area. Through our vibrant networking events, workshops, and showcases, we provide a unique platform for creatives to connect, learn, and celebrate their work. We are committed to amplifying underrepresented voices in the film industry, ensuring that diversity and inclusivity are at the core of our mission. By offering low-cost or free events, we democratize access to resources, fostering a supportive and collaborative community for filmmakers of all backgrounds.

Provide Accessible Resources and Connections: We aim to offer filmmakers free and low-cost resources, connections, and opportunities to enhance their craft, including future plans to provide online resources for learning, networking, finding grants, and hiring talent.

Join us for the 2024 Fall Showcase on Thursday, October 10th at the Art Boutiki in San Jose, where we will feature 11 short films from talented Bay Area filmmakers. This event is more than just a screening—it's a full evening of networking, food, drinks, and celebration of local talent.
After enjoying the films, the "Best Picture" award will be determined by a panel of industry professional jurors, who will score each short film during our showcase. This prestigious title recognizes the film that exemplifies the highest level of craftsmanship and storytelling, accompanied by a grand prize and special recognition as the standout achievement of the evening.
