The National Museum of Mathematics (or MoMath for short) is a museum dedicated to mathematics in New York City. Although we cannot actually make a trip to Manhattan, the 12th graders in Mrs. Goodwin's math class at Sunset High School would like to visit the museum virtually!

In the fall, we learned about the history and mathematics of Geometric Art - we even created our own! Right now in the gallery at MoMath, they are featuring work by geometric artist Anton Bakker in an exhibit called "Alternative Perspective."

From the MoMath website, "Anton’s sculptures — executed in steel, bronze, or as digital interactives — fix points in space that, as the eye connects them, reveal harmonious alignments as three-dimensional paths. Lines, curves, knots, spirals, Möbius strips, optical illusions, and fractals — all are explored in this highly engaging virtual show."
