Support diversified, hands-on learning opportunities for all 650 students at Scholls Heights Elementary with classroom iPads that will last for years to come!

In technology class we approach Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.) with hands-on lessons. Unfortunately, we do not have enough devices for all our students to explore their passions or develop new ones. Many programs and resources for kids are free to use but our school simply doesn't have the devices needed to run those programs for students of every grade level!

We are seeking funding to purchase 15 iPads, with apple care and cases that have keyboards. Our generous PTO has allocated $3,850 towards this endeavor, and with the Building STEAM 4 All Match from BEF,  we only need to raise $1,250!

Having these devices as a class set will open opportunities drastically. Our kindergarten, first and second grade students will be able to begin typing practice, which will greatly increase their success when they begin working on Chromebooks. It will also allow the use of Apple Classroom, which will greatly improve efficiency in our classroom and maximize our limited weekly time.

Our third, fourth and fifth graders will be able to use the iPads to record videos for our school news channel and even conduct interviews for our school paper. The whole student body will be able to use programs like Lego Education, Scratch and students can dive into the world of filmmaking using stop motion and a green screen.  We will also use the iPads for robotics using Dot & Dash and Sphero!

Donations from supporters will be invaluable. Any donation amount helps! A donation of $34 funds a case with a keyboard!  $79 helps us protect a device for 3 years and $410 is enough for a full iPad kit (iPad, protection plan and keyboard).
