Nestled on the serene North shore of the Pocono Lake in Northern Pennsylvania lies a treasure trove of natural beauty - The Pocono Lake Preserve (PLP). With its miles of untouched trails and unspoiled landscapes it is testament to the wonder of Mother Nature, and we and we are focused on protecting the natural legacy of this region.
By donating funds to support collection and transportation, you will help us collect and keep all types of plastic waste out of PLP, out of the environment, and out of landfill forever. More About The Bag That Builds:
Our plastic collection program, The Bag That
Builds, is ingeniously simple yet remarkably effective.
We collect all types of mixed and dirty plastic (resins 1-7), even those hard-to-recycle plastic film, chip packets and Styrofoam. No sorting or separating of plastic is required.
All the plastic recovered is converted into a building material call RESIN8TM, that is used in concrete and asphalt. No plastic goes to landfill or incineration and concrete and asphalt made with RESIN8 is fully recyclable at the end of its life.
Since the program’s inception in 2021, our collective efforts have yielded incredible results with over 10 tons of plastic waste has been recovered, helping to keep PLP beautiful.
