COVID-19 has had an unimaginable impact all over the world and has made it to Kenya. With mandatory closures of all schools and a complete lock down of public gatherings, our schools Tumaini and Kiotani have had to close. The impact on our communities is already being felt. Many families in the slums and marginalized areas are facing increased food insecurity, lack of basic services including water, and lack of medical assistance.
In response to this crisis, Positive Life Kenya has created
the COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund to assist families who are being
impacted due to the outbreak.
This fund will support families at risk who need our help, and:

Have multiple children and will be forced to stay home; and/or
-
May have people who are likely to get sick with COVID-19,
adding a substantial burden to families; and/or
-
Families who may need assistance in meeting their basic
needs during this crisis.
Help us to provide much-needed resources to families in our communities during this time. We ask you to please support this work by donating to our COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund. We understand that many others are facing challenges as well, but your donation, no matter how large or small, makes all the difference. For some, this could be the difference between life and death.
By helping us, we will:

Provide basic care packs (containing water guard,
sanitizers, soap and sanitary pads) for families in
seven forgotten slums of Mlolongo and surrounding areas.

Provide water tanks at Kicheko and Carton City slums for
hand washing.

Provide food for 1200 grandmothers in our program and other
very vulnerable families.

Provide transport, safety supplies, and logistical support
to the staff during slums visits.
