Welcome to Old Mill neighborhood's 2021 Luminaria page - including Wyndham Terrace, Hawthorne Road, Arden Lane, and Old Mill Road. While Covid kept most of us homebound last year, our participation in New Bethany's Luminaria Night was a joyous community effort that brought us all together in a beautiful way. Neighbors spent a foggy evening catching up and enjoying the glow of the paper lanterns lining our streets, driveways and walkways. I look forward to celebrating with all of you again on Saturday, December 11, 2021!

Did you know that New Bethany Ministries is the ONLY homeless services provider in Bethlehem and the surrounding area... including our backyard of Hellertown and Lower Saucon?

New Bethany makes an impactful and important difference in the lives of so many. The pandemic heightened the need for their services and that continues to this day. The organization provided over $2M in rent relief so far and has helped over 1,000 families either stay in their homes or find a new residence. They are coping with a 30% client increase (from 9,000 to 12,000) and a 40% increase in food pantry visits, all while losing hundreds of volunteers. The superstar team at New Bethany did all of this while maintaining transitional and permanent on-site housing for 43 families and 47 formerly homeless single men or women.
