Notes from Daughters Art Exhibition

Notes from Daughters began with a question that haunted me: How do the words our fathers said or never uttered shape the women we become? How do their silences, their expectations, their love or absence of it live on in our bodies, our psyche, our choices, and our dreams?

This cross-disciplinary exhibition brings together 20 extraordinary female artists from across the globe; from Canada, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Germany, Georgia, Guatemala, Israel, Italy, Korea, Nigeria, Russia, Spain, Turkey, & United States, each wrestling with this profound inheritance. Their work doesn't just explore the father-daughter relationship; it excavates it, transforms it, and ultimately reclaims it.

Archaeologists of memory - the artists participating in the show find themselves digging through layers of cultural and political conditioning about what it means to be a daughter, a woman, exploring their femininity in the center of their story.

Some rage against the stories they were handed. Others tenderly reimagine them. All of them refuse to be defined by narratives they didn't write.

When you walk through Notes from Daughters in late Spring 2026, you won't be just simply viewing art, you’ll be witnessing acts of revolution. Each piece is a declaration: This is who I am beyond expectations. This is the story I'm choosing to tell.

Your support and commitment helps amplify voices that are often silenced, stories that might have been buried, and truths that desperately need to be seen. This timely and emotionally resonant exhibition creates a space where visitors can reflect on the stories they inherit—and the ones they choose to rewrite.

Your contribution will enable us to cover the essential expenses such as gallery rental pop up costs, shipping/transport of artworks, production, promotion, in gallery personnel, installation & de- installation, gallery maintenance, opening night reception & security.

Join us in bringing these vital conversations into the light.

Thank you for your generosity and support.
