Dear Friends and Supporters,

From day one, Memphis Rox has committed our imperfect best to providing a safe and inclusive space for individuals from all walks of life to come together, climb and build meaningful connections. Despite our steadfast dedication to this mission, we're currently facing challenges that threaten our ability to continue operating and serving our community effectively. Unexpected events like flood damage from a burst pipe, increasing security costs, and growing insurance rates across the climbing industry have placed a considerable strain on our financial resources. However, we remain determined to navigate through these obstacles and remain committed to our mission.

In order to circumvent these unforeseen circumstances, Memphis Rox is launching a fundraising campaign to raise a minimum of $50,000. These funds will allow us to address our immediate needs and ensure Rox remains operational during this difficult time. Your contributions will go toward repairing flood damage, fortifying our security measures and sustaining essential community programs. In tandem with your support, we’ve implemented structural changes to the organization that will lower our overhead to ensure long-term stability.  

Those who climb with us know that the community at Rox is far-reaching. While we are located in the 38106 zip code, our members are made up of Memphians from all over the city, Tennesseans across the state and individuals all around the globe. Our mission to not only make climbing more accessible but to forge a world where everyone is provided for and receives equal access and opportunity, has created a blueprint that’s inspired kindred models in other states and countries. When we say we climb higher together , that isn’t just a motto. Those words spring to action when you scale our walls: Your membership provides a membership for someone else. It gets a kid climbing for the first time. It becomes a hot meal for someone who may otherwise go without eating. Your support makes a felt difference.

We understand these are uncertain times for many, and while we are ringing our bell, we don’t want to lead with desperation. Rather, this is an invitation to those who believe in our mission and want Rox to continue as a pillar of our industry as well as in the South Memphis community.
