The mission of the Beaverton Minority Administrator Community (BMAC) is to increase culturally relevant and racially diverse leadership capacity in the Beaverton School District. In alignment with our mission, BMAC members are committed to raising funds for a  scholarship.  The purpose of the scholarship is to assist with the District’s “grow our own” teacher effort that seeks to increase the diversity of BSD’s teacher workforce so that our teacher demographics reflect those of our students. Our goal is to raise enough to offer two $1,000 scholarships.

The scholarship will be awarded to a current graduating senior from ANY Beaverton School District High School who identifies as a member of community/communities that are historically underrepresented in the teacher workforce. The awardee will demonstrate financial need, be involved in school, community, and/or family activities to promote social justice and demonstrate strong individual determination and good character.  Funds  raised for this scholarship can be applied to tuition, fees, course materials, and other expenses directly related to the recipient's academic program of study.

Your support can make a difference for a future teacher.
