No thanksHELIOS ENERGY WORLDWIDE hasn't added a story.
Clean drinking water is something that many of us take for granted. We turn on our faucets, and clean water flows freely, ready for us to use in a variety of ways. However, for countless people worldwide, clean drinking water is a luxury they can only dream of. Imagine for a moment going into your kitchen and turning on your faucet, only to have nothing come out from the spigot. How would the loss of this common-day convenience affect your life?
Helios Energy Worldwide (HEW) is a Social Enterprise organization created to provide clean drinking water to pregnant mothers and infants in Cambodia.
Clean water remains scarce in Cambodian’s rural areas, where about 77% of the country's total population of 16.4 million people live. They face immense challenges as they struggle to access clean, drinkable water, significantly impacting their daily lives. Forty Thousand households living across 54 villages in the Kampong Speu Province, do not have a faucet in their homes and rely on trips to the nearby lake to acquire water. Once at Lake Tanuon, villagers must gather the water themselves, and forego the worry about the possible contaminants left by missiles and rockets from the Vietnam War.
HEW brings in an environmental solution that allows water filtration completely independent of the electrical grid. Working with their engineers and manufacturers, HEW can provide an opportunity to produce clean drinking water, eradicate access to the digital divide, produce affordable energy efficiency, and provide self-sufficiency for many citizens in that country.
Now, you can also help the citizens of Cambodia, by providing them with clean safe drinking water through your support of Restore H2O. With your donation, you will be a part of this life-altering project! Your contribution will allow infants and their pregnant mothers a life-changing opportunity that many of us may take for granted.

Clean drinking water and sanitation services remain scarce in Cambodia's rural areas, which hold about 77% of the country's total population of 16.4 Million Cambodians. Before COVID-19, Cambodia was one of the fastest-growing economies in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), but access to clean drinking water and sanitation remains a major barrier for families to have in their households.
For close to two decades, Vichetr Uon has been working on bringing clean drinking water to the Kampong Speu Province in Cambodia. Vichetr has created various water-cleaning filters. During that time he went up against COVID-19 and human trafficking. For the 40,000 households that are reliant on clean drinking water, they rely on Vichetr to provide it.
In 2020, Vichetr first met Steve Bateman, a partner with Restore H20. It was their connection, and the introduction of Steve's business partner, Dan Jones, that brought about the realization that the people of Cambodia needed help from outside their own country, bringing this issue to the global forefront. This led to the creation of Restore H2O and the mission to provide clean drinking water through the use of sustainable solar energy . With the rising cost of electricity, off-grid energy costs have become more appealing, especially for those with limited financial resources.
Together we can all create a more sustainable place to safely live for the +40,000 households of Cambodian's Kampong Speu Province with Restore H2O.
