Give kids at Five Oaks Middle School hands-on, creative opportunities to develop a sense of ownership and community with support for a 3D printer.
Last school year, students were introduced to 3D modeling software and worked in groups to plan, design and implement their ideas using a borrowed printer. For many students, it was the most fun they had in technology all year, primarily for the kinesthetic appeal and excitement of seeing their printed work in use around the school.
I would like to purchase a classroom printer and a year's worth of filament to ensure my semester 1 and 2 students both have access to fun and memorable activities. With your help, I can make my classroom projects better!

Founded in 1988, the Beaverton Education Foundation raises money to provide hands-on innovative academic enrichment and advancement programs & projects that go beyond normal school funding at all Beaverton public schools and is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization. BEF mobilizes community resources to fund innovative classroom projects, summer and after-school programs.
