Eugene Weekly has been a community mainstay for over 40 years, offering award-winning reporting, a forum for opinions, enterprising coverage of arts and entertainment, and a comprehensive calendar of things to do.

Our work takes time, talent and resources and is always free to readers in print and online.

But there's no sugarcoating it: The last few years have been tough. We struggled to stay alive and in print during the pandemic only to be dealt a near-fatal blow just before Christmas last year by learning that one of our employees had been stealing from us. Everyone was laid off and the paper went dark.

Thanks to thousands of generous contributors like yourself, our absence from newsstands was short-lived.

We are inspired by the generosity of readers and are especially moved by those who told us they don’t always agree with us but believe in the importance of what we do.

We are back in business with a renewed sense of purpose and energy — AND better financial guardrails. But we still need community support to continue our recovery.
