As Sheriff, Cory quickly made good on his promise to clean up our County's drug problem, until complaints by a disgruntled resident & political rival led to criminal charges. Please help with legal expenses so he can continue to fight for our community.

We have a drug problem in Mississippi County, MO, and Cory Hutcheson was elected Sheriff on a promise to clean it up. Upon taking office, Hutcheson made good on his promises to work with the community and other agencies to tackle the drug problem; and within 90 days, had all but eradicated illegal drugs from our county.

During his first 90 days in office, Hutcheson’s office made more than 80 arrests for drug distribution; and while there were no reported burglaries, he and his deputies solved more than 20 burglaries from the preceding year. In short, Hutcheson and his team hit the ground running, working with other agencies and presenting solid cases for prosecution.

Those hard-fought gains were all but lost in early April, when in response to complaints filed by the former Sheriff and one disgruntled resident, the Attorney General’s Office charged Hutcheson with a litany of offenses, most dating back years ago to the previous Sheriff’s administration.

The community has shown overwhelming support for Sheriff Hutcheson, and a Legal Defense Fund has been established to help him pay for legal expenses incurred as a result of lawful actions taken in the line of duty to enforce the law. Please donate what you can, and share this fundraiser with others who may be willing to do the same.

Thank you, and God Bless.
