This project match is provided by the BEF Band
Together program which raises funds to
support music education and clean and repair instruments for
Beaverton Band students throughout the year. BEF
will match contributions to this project dollar-for-dollar to

Beaverton Education Foundation has already provided $1,000 in matching contributions.
Music education access for all students is one of the most important challenges currently facing our education system in Beaverton and nationally. At Conestoga, we have over 80 families requesting instruments for their students. We are facing a massive shortfall of available instruments for these students who are deserving of equality in music education. Our goal is to purchase 10 additional flutes, 10 additional clarinets, and 5 additional trumpets to serve this student population. Help us ensure every student at Conestoga can be a part of our band program.
UPDATE OCT 1: Wow! The outpouring of support has been tremendous! We are so thankful. With the additional funds raised we'll be able to buy the students who need the help their beginners books (about 80 altogether), and finally retire some of the instruments just hanging on. Amazing. This will so help our band program for years to come!

While we are wrapping up this campaign today, you can keep supporting band and music programs in ALL Beaverton schools with the Band Together project, funding instrument repairs and music education all year long.

Founded in 1988, the Beaverton Education Foundation raises money to provide hands-on innovative academic enrichment and advancement programs & projects that go beyond normal school funding at all Beaverton public schools and is a 501(c)(3) community-based nonprofit organization. BEF mobilizes community resources to fund innovative classroom projects, summer and after-school programs.
In the event that this project does not reach its goal or exceeds its goal, BEF may apply the funds received to another similar project.
