My Friends,

It has been a long time. I had no choice but to stay off the internet at the request of law enforcement. I was also being stalked and threatened during Jp Gillain's incarceration, by his family members, his lawyers, and his supporters, so I declined them a forum by staying off the internet.  

While the threats continue, I will not be silent.

My son's father, JP Gillain, which you may have seen in the news, was held in Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Louisiana for four months on felony counts of first degree forcible rape and incest of our own son when our son was only 2 and 3 years old. The Jefferson Parish District Attorney ultimately did not prosecute the case, despite having two videotaped forensic interviews in which my son described the forceable rape and other sexual abuse of him by his father. I am told that winning a conviction on only the word of a seven year old has a very low success rate, so Jp Gillain was released and the case will be reopened only if more evidence, like other victims or accomplices or physical evidence, comes to light.

Now Jp Gillain is back in Los Angeles, while my son and I live in Louisiana, and he is actively seeking custody in the Los Angeles family court. He will stop at nothing to get his victim, our son, back in his hands so he can abuse him and punish him for telling.

My lawyer and I stopped the abuse when we ended Jp Gillain's legal and physical custody with various orders starting in October 2018, and a Domestic Violence Restraining Order in July 2019. We could not go to trial while Gillain was under investigation, first by the FBI, then DCFS, then LAPD, and then finally Jefferson Parish Sherrif's Office in Louisiana. Gillain requested continuances when he was incarcerated. 

I am grateful to all of you for selflessly giving me financial assistance and well wishes. I am deeply touched by your individual stories shared here and more privately with me on email. 

I am fighting this, and I promise to keep my son safe. He has been free from abuse since he was returned to me from his father's custody February 13, 2019. You have all given me the resources and the strength to do that. My son is getting stronger and stronger every day. He wants to report his father in every jurisdiction where Jp raped him and he is strong enough now to do that. That is another reason Jp Gillain wants custody. He wants to silence his victim.

Today I am renewing this campaign.

As promised, I directed that my lawyer convert this campaign to a nonprofit organization, and we are doing that. Your contributions will assist us in our public education efforts until the campaign is a fully operating non-profit. The non-profit will also provide public education, in addition to legal assistance to women and children like me and my son. 

Please stay safe during COVID. Please be kind to your neighbors. Please love one another. Please support social and racial justice. We are all in this together.

Please give to this campaign if you can. The fight does not end with me or with my son. We are in this to change the way the system treats the youngest victims and the non-offending parent.

We are in this to move the culture forward, to a place where we can say that we live in a country where we Believe The Child.
