United Soldiers and Sailors of America - USASOA is a volunteer, 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides for the care and comfort of our ill, injured and wounded service members. Our core mission is to provide our combat wounded service members and thier families with the essential resources that they sometimes lack: food, shelter, utilities, toiletries and more. Our mission includes raising awareness among the American people that this critical need  exists for our wounded heroes and their families. USASOA firmly believes that our wounded service members are our greatest national treasures and that they must be treated as such.

One of our many unique programs is the USASOA OPERATION: BBQ For Our Heroes that we hold every summer month on the grounds at Walter Reed Military Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland for our ill, injured and wounded. By grilling outdoors and bringing them a traditional American BBQ with hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled chicken and more, along with the sounds of laughter can often transport a wounded service member back into their own backyards where they have wonderful memories of better times with families and friends.Team USASOA volunteers bring our wounded the warmth and fellowship that makes them feel better and that can often enhance their recovery.This year, 2016,  will be our 3rd year of holding BBQ For Our Heroes at Walter Reed,however, we need grateful Americans and businesses to help fund this program. Over the past few years, USASOA has served 1,282 of our ill, injured and wounded service members. The need for such morale boosting initiatives is vitally important - many of our wounded are young men and women have injures that will last them a lifetime of hospital visits. Please contribute whatever you can afford and we ask that corporations and business to please do your part as well.
