Crew is our school's version of advisory. We do the things other schools do in an advisory, PLUS we make close relationships with our crew members. We do activities that build teamwork and leadership skills, monitor academic progress in all classes, and become our Crew members' best advocates. My crew starts in a circle everyday, we greet each other, we have rituals (like chants) and the best part, is that they are in the same crew for their entire high school career! I could go on...Crew is at the heart of what we do at BASE. 

Preparing for the ACT is more than just studying for a test. Students review content and skills for all classes. They prepare for testing in future classes and careers. Students also learn important studying techniques that can be applied in college. Last year, the Crew members asked if we could do an ACT Prep course. You read that right... students asked for help in getting ready for their future!

With only $30, you can purchase a prep book for students to practice tests and learn strategies for achieving success far into the future. Note: ACT Prep classes are expensive (often costing more than $1,000)! Prep classes have data that show that preparing for the ACT has a significant impact on raising ACT scores.
