At ACMA, the Wellness Center is a hub of support, compassion and skill building for every student in our building. Regulated mental health is a vital part of students being able to access their education, and ACMA makes mental health a priority. Our Wellness Center is a space of calming, with low lighting, cozy blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, fidgets and snacks. In the Wellness Center, students are empowered with a choice to: process their emotions; build skills with a mental health professional; sit quietly; self-soothing and utilize items such as fidgets.

With funds from raised, we hope to provide additional Wellness Center support items, personal fidgets for students to take with them and snacks so students are not going hungry. We often have students needing snacks, especially with how early our day begins. Along with mental health needs, addressing physical needs is equally as important in order for students to be able to learn. We hope that with the generous support of BEF, we can address the needs of our students, support them in their mental health and academic journeys and continue to be a safe and comforting space for every ACMA student.
